Funerals & Memorials

Funerals are often thought of as very solemn occasions and not associated with joy or celebration, but they are an integral part of our lives, and are important as our loved ones see them as a way of saying good-bye.

A good funeral is not just a ceremony but also a way of celebrating a person’s life and helping those left behind to cope with the grief and loss felt as a result.

In my role as your funeral celebrant I will meet with you to plan a 'life-centred' funeral which will be a perfect celebration of your loved one's life. Everything will be done to make sure we create a loving, respectful and personal funeral ceremony based entirely on you and your family’s wishes.

I will provide a memorable funeral celebrant service whether you wish for a green burial, a cremation or a traditional graveside funeral.

My aim throughout my time working alongside the family is that the service is remembered as a celebration of life and a reflection of the person they knew and loved.

Pet Burials & Memorials

Pets come in all shapes and sizes, from palm sized scaled creatures to huge, furry four legged friends. But the love and bond between you and your pet is regardless of size or species. Pets offer us relationships similar to those we have with members of our family. They provide companionship, loyalty, comfort, adventure and so much more. So, when that family member passes away we feel that loss just like any other.

Choosing to hold a celebrant led pet funeral ceremony gives you the time to say goodbye, to respect and honour that companion. You can choose a formal ceremony or a simple gathering of those who is feeling the loss. The choice is yours. Depending on your local area, ceremonies can be held at private homes, memorable places and designated pet cemeteries or natural burial grounds.

As the celebrant chosen to lead your memorial I will of course personalise your ceremony to reflect your personal wishes; including videos, time for reflection, opportunities to talk about your companion and more.

Whatever you choose to do, honouring a pet with a funeral ceremony is a wonderful and meaningful acknowledgement of your relationship and bond.

"I thought you did a wonderful job. You listened to myself and the family, it must be extremely difficult to put into words and make our thoughts flow.

You brought it all together beautifully. I am extremely grateful for your chosen words. You made it dignified but light just what we hoped for. Many many thanks."
